A simple, hands-on way to support early number recognition, counting and number sequencing.
Our Tactile Number Line Board has been designed to help children explore numbers using both sight and touch. Each number has its own recessed finger space, giving children a physical point to follow as they count along the line.
It can be used at home, in school, in SEN settings or as part of home education.
Hands-on number learning
The recessed finger spaces encourage children to physically move from one number to the next, helping make number order and progression more visual and tactile.
The board can be used to support:
- Number recognition
- Counting forwards and backwards
- Number sequencing
- Finding the number before or after
- One more and one less
- Simple addition and subtraction
- Building confidence using a traditional number line
There are no loose pieces to keep track of, so the board is easy to pick up and use whenever needed.
